Dunk island spa

The first of 5 spa buildings designed for P&O Australian Resorts each with its own individual style, the Dunk Island spa is nestled among the rainforest.

The skillion roof & extensive glazing open-up to the rainforest while the entry walkway provides a peaceful more introverted passage to & from the treatment rooms with a chill-out deck area floating over a man made lagoon.

The simple timber framed structure is ‘modern Australian’ & provides a luxurious contrast of rough sawn hardwood, glass & charcoal painted panels.

Completed August 2003
